Addison's 1st REAL teething experience!

To date, Addison has 10 teeth. We knew when her front 8 teeth were coming in because you could see them, but her top 2 molars popped up out of nowhere. She has never really had pain from her teeth, maybe just discomfort, but nothing to cry about, even with her top molars.
THAT HAS ALL CHANGED!!!
She was not eating well yesterday and when she would try to take a bite of her sandwich, she would take it out of her mouth, give it to Carlos, and cry. Immediately, I knew what this meant. I checked her bottom gums, and sure enough, they were sooooo swollen! One of her molars had barely started to come through, and the other was about to break through. She was okay for most of the day, until it came time to go to bed. She was so upset and in pain! We thought of things to take her mind off of the pain, which included blowing bubbles, or "bubbas" as she would say, in our bedroom at about 10:30 at night. Finally I realized she was not going to bed, so we went into the living room so Carlos could sleep, and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She was crying uncontrollably. I gave her Orajel, which she has always hated, but because her teeth are further back, she could REALLY taste it, gagged herself, and threw up everywhere. Needless to say, she was in the bathtub at midnight. After that, she seemed a little bit better, so we continued watching MMC. Finally, I gave up and put her in our bed at about 2:30 a.m. And what do you know...she woke up at 8:30. Ahhhhh!!!
I have always felt so lucky that after 17 months, she has not had a fever or illness, but then I think that maybe I would have been more prepared! I guess I am thankful that this is the worst we have experienced!
