I grew up going to church, and stopped when I got into High School because I always worked on Sundays. I started going again in my later college years, but never really enjoyed the church that I was going to. Every Christmas Eve we go to Rose Drive Friends Church in Yorba Linda, which I love, so I was trying to find a similar church in San Diego. I looked online many times, and never really found what I was looking for. We have driven up and down the 15fwy many times, and I always notice what looked like a church, although I could never quite see the name. Finally I saw it...The Church at Rancho Bernardo. It looked nice on the outside, so I was hoping that it was just as good on the inside. I did not want a church in a business/industrial building, like many are nowadays, and I did not want to go somewhere that was too traditional. I was looking for something with good music, a good message, and of course, a good nursery where we could leave Addison (since she is NEVER left with anyone but my mom). Well, I think we have found what we are looking for in this church. It is one huge building that you enter, and then the individual rooms and worship center are off of the central lobby. There are so many ministries present when you walk in the door...literally something for everyone. The nursery was nice, and there were a ton of kids for Addison to play with. The music is really good, and there is definitely a ton of technology present during the service. It is definitely modern, yet surprisingly, there were a lot of older people, which isn't always seen in more modern churches. We definitely enjoyed everything about it, and will be going back again! And when we went to get Addison, she was the only one that didn't run out to us...I think she wanted to stay!
