Mothers Day Weekend

We went up to Whittier for Mothers Day weekend on Friday night. We were so lucky that we didn't hit the usual traffic. Now that Carlos gets off earlier, we seem to be able to miss a lot of the Friday/Weekend traffic.

On Saturday, my mom and I went to get deluxe pedicures...they are seriously the best! They are at a nail salon by their house, and the girls do such a good job! They do your toes of course, but you also get a mint leg and foot mask, a really good smelling orange scrub, and a great foot and leg massage. When I was pregnant I got them often, but don't get them as often any more. It was nice to be able to do that while my dad and Carlos stayed home with Addison. Lol! I later found out that they let her go outside without shoes on...luckily, she didn't burn her feet off!

My grandparents decided Saturday morning that they were going to drive to Palm Springs from Arizona. They got there Saturday night, so we didn't think they would actually drive to Whittier after driving on Saturday, but they did. Usually we go to the golf course for Mothers Day Brunch, which is nice, but I like doing things that are FUN, especially now that Addison is getting older and doesn't just sleep everywhere we go! So, we decided to go to Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney. That way, we could walk around and shop afterward. And of course, the World of Disney store is right there, and I can never pass up a Disney store!

I had seen a cute "Mother" ID bracelet at the Brighton store at the Hotel Del Coronado, but wasn't sure if Carlos would actually go to a Brighton store to buy it, or when he'd have time. Well, he ended up going during his lunch to get if for me! Then he went to Old Town and bought me this really cool wood bracelet that I had found at the Johnson House when I was getting my moms MD present. I kind of assumed he'd get me the Brighton bracelet, but was totally surprised by the wood bracelet!

And the best part about MD...Addison slept ALL NIGHT last night! Yay!
