Our Solo Beach Outing

I had been wanting to take Addison to the beach by myself during the week, while Carlos is at work, and finally decided that yesterday would be the day! We went to Mission Bay, since there are no waves, I figured Addison would have way more fun playing in the water and sand, and we could sit really close to the water without having to worry about the water eventually hitting our things. I packed most things the night before...Lunch, Baby tent, towels, chair, sand toys, and my backpack full of swim diapers, wipes, lotions, and the stuff I usually have in my purse )chapstick, wallet, phone, etc.). We arrived at the bay and there was NO ONE there. It was kind of nice. The other side of the bay (where the playground is) had people, but our stretch of beach was desolate, until 2 families came. It was soooo nice to not have to worry about people sitting right next to you or in front of you, one of the things I dread when going to other beaches. Addison had so much fun splashing around in the water and playing in the sand. It was nice because I was able to relax while she played in the sand! We actually stayed almost 3 hours...my goal was at least 2 hours! The only drawback...coming home to take a bath/shower, and clean up the sandy mess! Ugh!
