The Air Show...and Oak Glen Apples!!!

The MCAS Miramar Air Show was this past weekend, and since Carlos had off on Friday (because of the airshow), we decided to go on Friday, and then go to my parents house so we could go to Oak Glen on Saturday. I have been looking forward to the air show for months now. But, unfortunately, it was the most hot, humid day of the entire summer!!! Oh wait, we are in FALL now! It was almost impossible to enjoy the show because it was so incredibly hot, and you could feel your skin burning as you sat there watching it! We were able to see everything, thanks in part to losing our car for an hour and a half! They changed the parking this year, and had us park where they normally have helicopters in front of the hangars. They didn't have anything numbered, and because most people were excited to get to the show, sooooo many people lost their cars. They had people in golf carts driving people around, especially those with children. The funny thing is that while I drove around with a parking guy and a Marine, Carlos ended up finding the car! We did get to see the Blue Angels from a totally different location, so that was pretty cool!

After we went home, showered (AGAIN!), and Carlos finished some work for school, we headed up to Whittier. On Saturday we went to Oak Glen! I was looking forward to going, since that was the only possible weekend that we have free to go. I LOVE their apple cider more than any drink in the world! The weather was nice, but unfortunately I could not enjoy it because of my horrific sunburn! Addison was so excited to see the pumpkins, and the apples. She loves everything having to do with the two!

On Sunday, my mom and I went to Joann's, and got this hair-brained idea to make Addison dresses and skirts. My mom made a lot of our costumes growing up, which was awesome because the store bought costumes in the past were really cheesey! We always had the coolest looking costumes. If Etsy had been around back then, they would have been on there! I buy a lot of Addison's boutique skirts and some of her dresses on Etsy, but honestly, my mom could totally make them! The first one she is making is a cherry print dress. She has already made it, but of course I haven't seen it yet. We also were lucky enough to find Broncos fabric, since it's never in stock, but I wasn't following the pattern right and forgot to add on extra yardage since we weren't adding a fabric band. That may end up being a skirt. It is going to look awesome with the Baby Legs football Leg warmers that I just ordered from my friend DuAnn at Paisley Popsicles. If you haven't been to her website, it's http://www.paisleypopsicles.com/. I usually order from her via Facebook, and she has ordered a bunch of bows from me as well! It's so nice to have connections to cool people that sell cool things!!!
