Memorial Weekend

  For Memorial weekend, we went to Palm Springs like usual. Carlos had to meet with an AF Reserves Recruiter in Riverside at March ARB on Thursday, so we met my mom after and she took Addison to Palm Springs with her. On Saturday morning we headed to Palm Springs. The weather was PERFECT! It is usually pretty warm, except when we go for Thanksgiving. It's Palm Springs, so that's expected. I packed clothes for 90 degree weather, but I have to say, this was the best Memorial weekend weather EVER! It was so nice! It was warm enough to swim, but if you wanted to lay out, you didn't even come close to breaking a sweat. Addison wanted to swim the entire time of course. She is a fish, and only wanted out of the water for potty breaks. I will say, I am proud of her for actually getting out of the pool to go and not just going in the water. Ewww!

On Sunday, my parents were going to Target to pick out a new t.v. for the condo, and Addison and I strolled into the bike section. I already have plans to get her a really cool Hello Kitty bike once she can ride a two-wheeler, but since she has never even pedaled a bike before, I put her on the Radio Flyer Fold 2 Go bike. I loved it because it's pink, but once I realized the age limit is 3, and she is practically the size of a 3 yr old, we looked at the other options. I fell in love with the Radio Flyer Classic Trike. I love the classic looks of Radio Flyer, and the red is universal, so we ended up getting her that. I realized it was kind of funny when the lady asked if we needed a gift receipt. Oh yeah, most kids get bikes for birthdays. I think that was my mom's plan for her 3rd birthday. Oops! We went back to the condo, put the bike together, and took her out to test it out. I have to say, she did pretty well. She did fall once where the gutter is in the parking lot. She tilted a little too much and tipped right over. Poor thing. Right away, she freaked out because she had water on her, and immediately wanted to go swimming to wash it off. Lol!

Just 4 more days until we go to Glen Ivy with Suzanne. Woot woot!
