One Month

Miranda is one month old today! I can't believe how time has flown by, but for once, I am actually happy that it did! We finally found a formula that works for her, after trying about 5 or 6 formulas, although now she has a horrid rash on her face. I'm hoping it's from the heat or cradle cap and not the formula. She is still a little bit fussy, but not like before. She is almost exclusively in 3 month clothes. Yikes! Addison always wore the size when she got to the month, so she was in newborn forever. Granted, the 3 month stuff is way too big, and some doesn't fit at all, but still, it's amazing that she's a month old and in 3 months. She is wearing a size 1 diaper, which we actually put her in a week after she got home because she didn't like her diaper changed at first, and it was easier to get her into a size 1. We finally gave her an actual bath the other night, although I will stick with her sponge baths and washing her hair in the sink every morning. With that much hair, trying to rinse it in one of those baby baths doesn't work too well! She actually loved the bath. Her picture is hysterical because she looks like a grump. Well, 90% of the time she looks grumpy, furrowed brow and all. I think half of the time when I look at her, I just laugh because she looks like a grumpy old man! She has yet to sleep through the night, and instead of waking up once a night like she was, she is now waking up at about 1 and then at 4. Of course, everyone knows that babies change their schedules constantly. She is still not loving the car, which kills me.

 I think the biggest adjustment for me is just the whole car thing. Miranda has been okay when we've gone shopping a few times, but I still don't trust her in the grocery store. Needless to say, we haven't cooked much!

As far as Addison goes, she will occasionally ask to help feed her, but the newness of having a baby has kind of worn off. I guess it's a good thing because before she was insisting on opening up every diaper to get it ready when I needed to change the baby, and that took forever! 

She wanted to write her name and get in on the fun!
