Little Fish!

We have been super-busy with activities for the past few weeks. Addison has been in swim lessons for two weeks, and let me tell you, although $85 seemed like a lot for 6 half-hour lessons, she LEARNED TO SWIM in 6 days!!!! I kind of knew she would, but was unsure whether she would go under the water, hold her breath AND open her eyes. But, she did it. Her lessons were at 4:00, so it seemed like we had just enough time to come home after preschool before going to swim. Her teacher was awesome, and just what she needed. It was basically like, you learn to swim or you drown. This is great for Addison or she will just whine her way into the instructor not making her swim. Even Ms. Tammi said that she was a real swimmer! I will definitely put her in a refresher course before next Summer. The two kids in her class were in 4 sessions and were barely swimming better than her. Maybe she is a natural swimmer!

Aside from that, it was Carlos' birthday on Sunday. One thing about birthdays when you are older is that you rarely "celebrate" other than going out to eat or having cake at home. We are just not the types to leave the kids and go away for the weekend, especially when we have other priorities right now. So, we went to his favorite place...Lucille's!

I can't even believe that Miranda is going to be 3 months old next week! She slept through the night again last night. When she sleeps all night, I never do, so it's exciting for her, but not really for me because I still wake up tired as ever. It's so funny because everyone remarks about how she is SUCH a GOOD baby. I just laugh, because unfortunately I compare her to Addison who was seriously perfect at home, and out in public. Miranda is okay for the most part, but she's not like Addison who would sleep all day and just relax. I can practically get nothing done with her. She is currently napping, but dare I start any lengthy projects??? No, because she will probably wake up any second!
