"Tennist" anyone?

Addison started tennis last week. Or as she has recently started calling it, "tennist". I have no.idea why she's started adding the "t", but it's pretty funny. The problem with tennis is this...Miranda still wakes up two plus times a night. Most days I am up by 5:30, and 3 days a week, I'm a "single" mom. So, the fact that tennis is about a 2 1/2 hr adventure from start to finish, and I hate driving at night (on the freeway...tired), means that she needs to really really enjoy it, or it's not worth it. So far, she is having a lot of fun. She is barely as high as the net, so for her to actually hit the ball over the net is practically impossible! I knew that she would be in the beginner/intermediate class, and that the ages could range from 4-17, but honestly expected more young kids. When we got there the first day, most of the kids were between 9 and 13. There was one six year old, and then tiny little Addison. Of course everyone was dying when she showed up. Thankfully some nice little 11 year olds fell in live with her and helped her with drills. When they broke up into groups, it was her, the 6 yr old, and a few boys that were probably 10. I'm shocked she didn't get hit in the head with a racket. I'm thinking she may just be too young still, but she is signed up for 12 classes, so we'll wait and see. Until then, it'll just be comedy hour every time we go!

Miranda is officially 8 months old. I tried to get a good picture of her, but she kept getting on all fours and crawling away. Even here she was getting ready to crawl off!
As of last week she has started pulling herself up on everything...the baby gate, bottom of the stairs, couch, etc. She loves to clap at everything, especially her favorite show Jeopardy! She is now waving and loves to give high-5's, which she has actually been doing for a while now. She is also into EVERYTHING! Nothing ever needed to be put up to keep it from Addison. She left all breakables alone, and was content with everything. Miranda will crawl to the puzzles, pull one out, then move onto Addison's toys on her table, and while you are cleaning that up, she has already moved onto the books. She loves to play. I love how much she loves Addison. I don't think Addison likes her a lot of the time, but Miranda is just so in love. It's the cutest thing ever!
