Old Town, 6 Months, and Coronado...

It would have been much easier to add a post each day, but I decided to leave it all for now, making for a very long post...sorry!

On Saturday we decided to go to Old Town. We were so excited that our favorite restaurant (Casa de Reyes) had reopened after renovations, although we didn't know that it was under new ownership. The renovations made the restaurant much larger, and very festive...unfortunately the food was awful and I would NEVER go back there again! After we ate we walked around and took pictures of Addison...lol!

Sunday was Addison's 6-month birthday. We were up early so we decided to go to Marie Callender's for breakfast. This was Addison's first time in a wooden restaurant highchair. I have been meaning to buy a cart/highchair cover, but obviously haven't found one I like. She sat in it the entire time that we ate, which was so nice! Usually we take turns holding her and eating.

I cannot believe Addison is already 6 months old! Time has flown by so fast. She is doing so much now, it's amazing! I take her for her 6-month checkup on the 28th, so I will know her exact height and weight. As of a week ago when I measured her she was 27 inches long!!!

Carlos had Monday off because he had volunteered to work an extra 4 hours on Friday. We went to Coronado beach with his friend Nick (who also had worked Friday and had the day off), and his wife Melissa. Addison had been to the beach before, but never in the sand or the water. We bought her a little tent to try to keep her out of the sun, and a hat and sunglasses. She REFUSED to wear the sunglasses! She liked the sand, even when Nick put it all over her feet, and loved looking around. Apparently the beach is in the flight path for NAS North Island, so there were planes and jets flying over constantly...Addison didn't mind and watched them as they flew so close to us! We tried to put her in the water but it was a bit too cold. After she cried because of the cold temperature, she wanted nothing to do with it. Even when we would carry her out, she didn't want to even look at it, which was actually pretty funny! After the beach we went to Nick and Melissa's to barbeque and watch a movie. It was a pretty fun three days...which was good, since Carlos is leaving for Fallon soon =(
