Addison is a genius!

Addison is so smart. I know, I know, everyone says that their kids are smart! But honestly, I do have my credential, Masters in Education, and have worked with kindergarten kids A LOT, so I see what is expected of them in kindergarten. Well, it amazes me because she has the logical reasoning that most kindergartners don't even have! Of course she has known what "under", "inside", "behind", etc., are for a year now, but the things she says seriously baffle me. They are things that you would expect from a 5 year old, but never in a million years would you expect a 2 year old to think so logically!!!

Earlier today she was counting. She got all the way up to twenty nine, and then rather than going to thirty, which I guess she has never heard when counting, she counted to twenty ten. It was hysterical, but at the same time, so logical. Because after all, ten does come after nine. And seriously, what 2 yr old even counts past ten???

The second Carlos brings in the mail she recognizes the Babies R' Us ad and says "Toys R' Us", and then 'reads' it. She looked at it and I heard her say "Little Einsteins", and was kind of surprised that the Little Einsteins were in there. So, she and I were looking through it a little bit later and she points to the Baby Einstein videos and says, "Little Einsteins". You are probably thinking that she recognizes them and knows what they are called so she is getting confused, but the truth is, I heard they don't work and never bought them, so she has never seen a Baby Einstein video, nor has she ever heard of Baby Einstein. The logo and characters are not the same, so the only thing that I can think of is that she recognized the word Einstein!!! Crazy. I think I turned pale white when I heard her say that!

And now comes tonight. I was making bows and she came up to me with her cowboy hat on. I looked at her and said, "Hi Cowgirl!" With all her logic and wisdom she looked at me and said,

"Hi Cowmama!"
