Our anniversary is not until the 16th, and we always celebrate with Addison (i.e. one year at the Wild Animal Park), but this year we celebrated early and went and saw Jo Koy at the Brea Improv. He is seriously hilarious! We had such a great New Years Eve at the midnight show, and were dying to see him again. He happened to be in Brea again this past weekend, so we figured we'd go so my parents could watch Addison.
The thing about San Diego is that we had NO babysitters at all! Not one time did we ever leave her with anyone in San Diego. So, what did we do? Celebrated every year with her. I have to admit, it was fun going to the Wild Animal Park, and I love to do things together as a family above all else, but it's also nice to go out (like once a year) without her. Lol! We did go to the 7:00 show rather than the 9:00 show. He even joked that he knew most of the people at that show were parents because it was so early!
On Sunday we all came back to the house and my mom and I went shopping and hung out with Addison while my dad and Carlos finished up most of the painting. I will say it again and again, but it is AMAZING what two coats of paint will do...if you pick the right color! There are certain colors that I hate on walls. Well, mostly just red. It looks hot, and usually is not even the right shade of red for the house it's painted in. We literally have yellow, green (the BEST shade ever if I might say so myself), brown (3 different shades), blue, and lavender in our house now! I just have to do some touchups, as well as the baseboards and cabinets upstairs, and most of the painting (except for our bathroom) will be done. It's so exciting. As a matter of fact, I just heard the UPS man arrive with my two new tables for our living room! Time to open up some boxes!
