Addison has been having so much fun at her Friday morning playgroups. I will definitely be signing us up again and again, since the sessions are only 4 Fridays long. She loves playing with the kids, and it's nice because they set it up like an actual class, so there is a schedule to follow, crafts, structured play, and free play. We have met some really nice people, and the community center is REALLY nice!
Yesterday their craft was so cute, so I thought I'd share it. I would love to make these if we ever had a water-themed party. They made fishing poles and fish. The teacher had already made a fishing pole out of a straw, thin yarn, and a washer tied to the bottom. The kids then traced fish onto construction paper, cut them out (parents did this of course), and stuck magnets (the peel-and-stick kind) to the back of the fish. They can then "fish" with their fishing poles. They all loved it! Addison was fishing for "GOOEY FISH" of course. I swear everything she says is in reference to Mickey.
For instance, today we are planting a "HULA HIBISCUS"!
