Well, her birthday was 4 days ago, but we were sooooo busy, that there was no time to blog! On her actual birthday, we went to Island's. It's a funny place to go for a birthday dinner, but we have been there every year, and she loves it! And of course, every t.v. was on the Broncos/Jets game, so Carlos was happy! She opened her presents before we left, and her favorite one was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Space Adventure. I preordered it months ago, and every time she saw the commercial she would tell me that the mailman didn't bring it yet. Well, she does usually get them the day before they come out.
We went up to my parents' house on Friday so that we could rest before going to Disneyland on Saturday. What a long and crowded day that was! We only went on a handful of rides, and saw a few characters, but she had so much fun! We are going to go back during the week so she can go on all of the rides that she didn't get to go on. She didn't even care though, as long as she got to go on the teacups which are her favorite! Nikki, Diane, Kasey and Baby Trent met us there and we went on It's a Small World and hung out. Addison LOVES them! Although, she doesn't like Baby Trent so much. I guess it was only when my mom was holding him...hopefully! He is just the cutest thing EVER! We hadn't seen him since he was a little guy, and it's amazing how big he has gotten. He will definitely be a linebacker when he grows up! Addison was so excited about the gift card that they gave her, although she was fast asleep when we went to use it. We got her the Tiana doll from the Disney Animators Collection. They are too cute to pass up. I had gotten her the Snow White doll for Christmas, but of course she will have to wait for that. I think with the rest of her gift card I will order her the Belle doll online, since they didn't have it in the stores.
I still can't believe that my little "newborn" is 3! She makes me laugh and amazes me every day. I have never met a 3 year old with such an advanced vocabulary. Her choice of words are hysterical! She is so smart as well! She has been counting forever, but now she is counting "clearly" to 30, and of course she has been saying her ABC's for a while now. She loves to point out shapes everywhere we go, and can name ANY shape that she sees! Carlos is finally teaching her some words in Spanish, although other than counting to ten, she only knows about 5 words. Her favorite is, "Vamonos!" It's amazing to think that just three years ago, she just slept, ate, and went to the bathroom. She was such an easy newborn. She never cried, never spit up, never had nasty explosive diapers, only had one bad day of teething, and was always happy! I should have known that she would turn into such a great toddler, but you always see other peoples' kids and wonder, "Will my baby turn out that way?"
