I feel like it has been forever since I have blogged. Really, it hasn't, but it feels that way. I have been swamped with bow orders. By swamped, I mean that there are literally bows and packages EVERYWHERE! As we speak, I am printing 7 labels, so we can take about 25 packages to the post office. Ugh! I still have about 16 bows to make, but those will probably wait until after we go to my parents house this weekend.
Addison is so excited for her birthday. She is so excited to be turning 3. She has been telling everyone, "I'm still two, I'm not going to be three until my birthday when we go to Disneyland!" Of course, she is super-excited to go to Disneyland. It's my main reason for not getting passes. I had passes several times, I remember how Disneyland would lose it's "spark" after going over and over again. The way that Addison gets SOOOOO excited to go...ugh...I don't want to ever take that away. It's the cutest thing ever! Even when my mom took her to Downtown Disney, she was so excited to be there. She doesn't even care about the rides, although she LOVES the teacups and has been talking about them for months now.
I love the idea of taking her to Disneyland on her birthday. By the time you buy tickets, food all day long, and souvenirs, it costs as much as a birthday party, but is stress-free, and Addison has so much more fun than she would if we had a party. She isn't one of those kids who loves attention, so I think she might be a bit overwhelmed to have so many people there to celebrate her. I just can't wait to see her in her new birthday outfit (I've bought them for three years now from www.amacim.etsy.com) and love every one of them!
I still can't believe that she is turning 3 years old. I feel like time has flown by, but when I look back at pictures from the hospital, when she was a baby, holidays, etc, it seems like it was a lifetime ago! I am glad that I closed my shop until after her birthday. It will allow all the focus to be on her, which it is anyway, but I won't have to worry about her "helping" me make bows.
One of the ladies who I follow on Facebook was talking about how she often feels guilty working on items for her "business" when her kids are awake. I often feel the same way. Then she put it into perspective and realized that she could be at work all day while the kids are in daycare. So true! I definitely agree that I have been so blessed to be able to stay home with Addison and be able to do the things that we do, while also having a fun hobby/"business" where I can use the money to buy all of the ridiculous outfits and items off of Etsy that we don't even need. And of course, she is always right by my side "helping" me. She tells me the colors, counts the bows, organizes the images, etc. Lol!
