Girl!!!
Of course I was in shock! Since day 1, I had thought it was a boy. But at the same time, I had a gut feeling that I would have the opposite of what Lindsey was having, so when I found out she was having a boy, I knew I was having a girl! For the past two weeks I have been focusing on everything girly. Girl names, bedding, ideas for the nursery, looking at all of the cute clothes that are out for the Summer, etc. For some reason though, I felt like the Ultrasound tech was going to say boy.
She did all of the typical measurements and whatnot, and then she called in Carlos and Addison so we could look at all of the "fun" pictures. Addison was so excited and kept saying, "Look at that baby's big tummy!" Once she got to the anatomy, she asked if we could tell what it was. Right away Carlos said, "Girl!" Like she said, you never know what you're looking for until you've seen it, and when you see a "girl" in the ultrasound, you always remember what it looks like. Of course, I cried. I would have cried had it been a boy as well. Even as she was going through the measurements, and the baby was doing flips (literally), I was getting so nervous that I thought I would cry at any moment.
And of course, even though I know what to expect (more or less) from a girl, I am still totally nervous! I cannot even imagine being a mom to two girls. I told Carlos I should consider going back to work because I can't even imagine a second wardrobe like Addison's. I've already started shopping! There is nothing more fun than buying girls clothes! And then I think, that if anyone was meant to have two girls, it was definitely me!
