Miranda turned 4 months old on Sunday. It was an exciting day, because it was also the first time that my grandparents go to see her. We took her to the doctor for her 4 month checkup today, and the doctor was amazed at how advanced she is. We always thought Addison was really advanced, because compared to most, she was, but Miranda blows her out of the water. I told her that she has been rolling back to front, front to back for a few weeks now, and she literally gasped, saying that most babies don't reach that milestone until 6 months. She was also amazed when she was trying to grab at her tools, and actually got a hold of one of them. She said that we can start solids, but I will probably try to hold off until at least 5 months. Then again, we will see what she is ready for. She is 16 lbs 5 oz and 25" long. She is still wearing 6 month clothes...thank goodness!
Addison went for her 4 year checkup and the doctor kept raving about how great she was and how perfect everything looked. Good to know. She joked that Addison is the child that we all hope to have, and Miranda is more realistic. Yes, I agree.
On a side note, I am so glad that the election is over. I am so over uneducated people feeling the need to voice their opinions. I seriously saw racist jokes and stupid comments on both ends. Honestly, neither one was a great choice. I would have been shocked by whoever won. Well, maybe not Roseanne Barr. ;-)
