Thankful!

I am so thankful for everything that I have, each and every day. But, it seems like every November people start on their "Day of Thanks". To me, you have to think of one thing you are thankful for every day of the year, otherwise you get sidetracked and don't appreciate what you have. So, I have a list of a ton of things I am thankful for. In no order of course.

  • I am thankful for Addison and Miranda! Watching them take turns laughing out loud at one another, and then take turns shrieking, and then laughing once again, is one of the cutest {and craziest} things I have ever seen!
  • I am thankful for super-happy kids. Some kids are impossible to get them to smile. And especially babies at 4 months. Most don't even smile yet. Miranda not only smiles, but she laughs. She is just so cute.
  • I am thankful for everyones health. I hear of so many people who have not only lost their grandparents, but their parents as well. That makes me sad.
  • I am thankful that my parents have been so great to me growing up, and that they are the BEST grandparents ever!!! The girls are so lucky to have them!
  • I am thankful for Carlos who works so hard to make sure that everyone has what they need...and want. =)
  • I am thankful that we have a roof over our heads, transportation, and food to eat.
  • I am thankful that I am the queen of finances. I seriously should've been an accountant. I would've made a great Jewish accountant. Oh wait, I'm not Jewish.
  • I am thankful that we have been able to do everything on our own. Too many people think that they have earned things and done everything on their own, when really they forget that their parents gave them money, a house, they got an inheritance, etc. We have been lucky to be able to do everything financially on our own. It really does make you feel so much better about yourself and the things you have.
  • I am thankful that, even though people might think Addison is spoiled, she really isn't. I can take her to any store and she won't cry for toys or clothes. She is such a great sister. If I order her clothes, and don't get anything for Miranda, she actually feels bad that Miranda didn't get anything. It's so cute!
  • I am thankful that Addison goes to an awesome preschool and has such a GREAT teacher! She gets to learn about God and get her education at the same time. She has such great friends, and I am so thankful that we were able to send her two full days a week. Like Miss Bobbi said, "Anyone that has to pay for preschool knows that it is a luxury that not everyone can afford." It is so true! But, I am so glad that we are able to send her to a good quality preschool.
  • I am so thankful for my friends, old and new. Some of them are starting out on awesome journeys this year, and I could not be more excited! And then there are those like Lindsey who, while she is completely on the other side of the United States, got to suffer through pregnancy with me, while still getting the middle-of-the-night texts, when you wouldn't dare text anyone that doesn't have an infant.
  • I am thankful to live in such a great city. The people here are awesome, the schools are great, and the air is clean! We love it!
  • There is so much more to be thankful for I'm sure. I am definitely thankful for my blog. Even if no one reads it (which surprisingly, they do), it is a great way for me to journal. We have loved looking back at the entries from when Addison was Miranda's age, and seeing the differences between the two. There are so many things that we had forgotten about.

Remember to be thankful for what you have, because there is always someone out there who is alone or who feels like they have nothing to be thankful for.
