New Carpet...Take 2!

When we originally got our new carpet put in, we opted for the chocolate brown. It was soooo pretty! It basically matched with everything, looked good on the stairs, and nice next to the downstairs flooring. The problem with dark colors, which my grandma told me AFTER we picked it, is that they show EVERYTHING! And yes, that was the truth! While I loved the looks of it, I hated the fact that if one piece of fuzz fell off of your socks, it would show, making the carpet look like it hadn't been vacuumed. After only 2 months, it looked matted and worn. Since it had a 10-year warranty, I figured why wait, and called to have it inspected.

The first inspector came out, and said that it did in fact look matted. He filed his report, and an independent inspector came out. Thankfully, he determined that it was defective from the manufacturer. I got a call last Friday telling me the 'good news', and a salesperson was sent out on Saturday so we could look at new carpet. I was afraid of getting the same kind, so we opted for an upgrade, and a carpet that has multiple colors so it won't show as much "dirt" (by dirt, I mean fuzz, thread, etc). I got a call on Monday that they were going to upgrade us at no cost. Seriously? Was it my lucky day or what??? The installers came today, and our new carpet is in!

While I loved the look of the dark brown with our paint, this is much more durable, and dare I say, plush! It is so soft. Addison even noticed how soft our new carpet is.

Here are some updated pictures of the stairs, as well as our bedroom:
It's not as Little Boy Blue as it looks (much darker)
Our furniture is huge. The dresser is over 5 1/2 feet, but I feel like we need more. Our room is 15 ft x18.5 ft!
